Mrs. Connie Sue Compton, age 45 of Demopolis died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at her residence

Funeral services were held Friday, June 24, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Jefferson United Methodist Church with Anita Wilburn officiating. Burial followed in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, AL.

The family received friends Thursday, June 23, 3005 at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Compton was preceded in death by her father, Winfield "Red" Jowers and a brother, Tommy Jowers. Survivors include a daughter, Betsy Compton and a son, Dave Compton, both of Demopolis, mother, Mrs. Margaret Jowers of Demopolis, two brothers, Reese Jowers and Maurice Jowers, both of Demopolis and several nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers were Paul Hoggle, Elijah Hoggle, Warren Allen, Michael McGee, and Wayne Baker.

Honorary pallbearer was Kenny Hicks.

Mrs. Compton was a native and lifelong resident of Demopolis where she worked as a cosmetologist. She was a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church.
