Donna was the baby girl of the family and was named after both her mother and grandmother. She spent much of her time helping her mother who was blind. Her favorite color was pink and she enjoyed music, especially Alan Jackson, and Gospel singing. She was an avid Tennessee fan and loved orange and anything with a "T" on it. Donna loved to receive gifts and kept everything that she was ever given.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Ambers Birdsong; daughter: Velvet Eyone Birdsong; and brother: Jackie Peoples.
She is survived by her sons: Anthony Birdsong and Gaylon Birdsong; sister: Louise Peoples Jones; brother: Charles Thomas Peoples; fiancé: Shelley Ashby; step-daughters: Brenda Spray and Jeanine Ashby; step-sons: Raymond (Ashley) Ashby and Jesse Ashby; grandchildren: Dustynn Birdsong and Autumn Birdsong; great grandchildren: Noah Allan Hudson, Colt Hudson, Jace Beesley and Aleah Birdsong; numerous step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 3:00 until time of service.
