"QUEENSBURY -- Theresa M. Abbott, 78, of Solomon Heights, formerly of Colonie, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002 after a brief illness. She was born in Troy and was the daughter of the late Jasper and Celia Palmer McIntyre. Theresa was a Colonie resident for over 30 years before moving to Queensbury two years ago. She was a member of the Colonie Village Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Herbert B. Kuhn Senior Citizens of Colonie, Pine Grove United Methodist Church and Queensbury United Methodist Church. She was predeceased in 1976 by her husband, Robb J. Abbott. Theresa is the beloved mother of Mrs. Gary (Diane) DeCesare of Queensbury, Nelson J. Abbott of Colonie and the late Gary Abbott. She is the grandmother of Daniel, Valerie and Dawn DeCesare. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11:00 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Colonie. A reception will immediately follow the service in McIntyre Lounge at the church. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Avenue). Interment will be private in Memory's Garden. In lieu of flowers and at the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1580 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Park Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801, in memory of Mrs. Abbott."
