CRISPEN Richard F. Richard F. Crispen of Northwood, passed away on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Rich was born in Gibsonburg, Ohio on October 31, 1931, to Floyd and Elsie (Grover) Crispen. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army. Rich retired in 1987 as a glass cutter from Libbey Owens Ford after 37 years of employment. He was a was a member of the Northwood VFW Post #2984, the Sportsman Club in Grand Rapids, Ohio, the Port Lawrence Masonic Lodge and the Rossford Eagles. Rich was an avid camper, enjoying camping and sitting by the camp fires; but his real love was spending time with his wife, children and grand-children. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Mary; children, Gregory (Shelly) Crispen, Trudi (Scott) Posey, Sally Crispen, Danny (Valerie) Crispen, 9 grand-children; 1 great-grandchild; brother, Roscoe (Betty) Crispen; sisters, Nancy Reyome, Linda (Will) Egner. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eddy, and brother, Norman. Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio, and where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Rich's memory are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
