Services for Florence Esther Kennedy, 84, 126 East 3rd St., Sheridan, were conducted Wednesday, June 9 at the Champion Funeral Home in Sheridan.
Burial was in the Green Mountain Cemetery in Sundance.
Mrs. Kennedy died Saturday, June 5, at the Kimberly Manor Nursing Home in Rock Springs.
She was born April 28, 1898 at Eau Claire, Wis., the daughter of the late Alfred A. and Bertha Vale Fasbender. She attended school at Spearfish and received her normal certificate in teaching from Spearfish.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. James A. (Vera) Montgomery of Currant Creek Ranch, south of Rock Springs; four sons, David A. Wells of Little Falls, Minn., Forrest C. Wells of Seattle, Wash., Donald K. Wells of Auburn, Calif., and Francis Wells of Sheridan; one brother, Ray Fasbender of San Diego, Calif.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was married to David E. Wells at Sundance on Dec. 24, 1916. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1946. She later married Floyd Kennedy and he preceded her in death.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Edwin H. Wells; one sister, Hazel Wells; and two brothers, Harry and Arleigh Fasbender.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors and a former member of the Rebecca Lodge.
