Funeral services for Mr. Norman Gran Brown, 63, of 299 W. Congress St., Caro, were conducted Saturday from the First United Methodist Church of Caro by the Rev. G. Charles Gall. Burial followed in the Caro Cemetery. Mr. Brown died August 25 at Wayne County General Hospital He was born March 6, 1908 in Dundee, Scotland and moved to the county in 1942 from Lexington. He was senior inspector, Field Division for Detroit Edison Co. and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He married Oma Roberts on February 2, 1929* in Tuscumbia, MO. She survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Roberta) Brinkman, Unionville; Mrs. Leo (Peggy) Marker, Akron; Betty Brown, Garden City; Mrs. Keith (Anges) Jaynes, Garden City; and Mrs. Gene (Patricia) Turner, Coldwater; one son, Norman G. Brown, Jr., of St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, Robert of Lapeer and Lt. Col Elmer Brown of Vietnam; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Martin of Elbon, MO; Mrs. Joseph Voorhees, Independence, MO; and Miss Marie Brown of Elbon, MO.

Oma married Curtis Phillips Oct 1929, so she couldn't be married to Norman Feb of 1929. If Feb 2 is correct, it probably is 2 Feb 1930? Still searching for a marriage record for them.]
