Jane R. Abend , 91, formerly of 111 Hoover Drive, Syracuse , died Tuesday at Loretto.
Born in Syracuse , she was the daughter of the late George and Sue (Cuthburt) Rich.
She was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and was employed as an office manager at Collier's Publications for 20 years. She was a former member of LaFayette Avenue United Methodist Church, where she also taught Sunday school. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Barbara O'Leary, and her husband, Frank of Medford, MA; her son, Richard Abend , and his wife, Donna of Danvers, MA; her loving grandchildren, Kelly Schultz and her husband, David and grandson John Abend ; sisters-in-law, Josephine and Thelma Rich; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William G. Abend , in 1991 and two brothers, Clint and Charles Rich.
Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Friday at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse , with Rev. Thomas Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
