PUNXSUTAWNEY - Dorthea M. Ray, 65, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Sykesville and Mahaffey, died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Mulberry Square, Punxsutawney.
Born Dec. 11, 1933, in Coalport, she was a daughter of Harry and Perney (Brown) Shepler.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty Wolfe of Punxsutawney, Shirley Himes of Ohio, Linda Ray of Michigan and Cathy Eberly of Sykesville, two sons, Robert of DuBois and Donald of Punxsutawney; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Brink of Cleveland, Ohio, and Dorothy Wineberg of Punxsutawney; and two brothers, Clair Shepler of DuBois and Bell Shepler of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emerson P.; a son, Emerson P. Jr.; a sister, Bertha Kollar; and two brothers, John and Harry Shepler Jr.
Services will be hed 11 a.m. Thursday at Pifer Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Bell Township, Clearfield County.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
