Harold "Papa Harold" Haun Aldridge

Funeral for Harold "Papa Harold" Haun Aldridge, 76, of Danville was Wednesday, March 19, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Russ Almedia, Rev. Buddie R. Brown and Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.

Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Aldridge died Sunday, March 16, 2003, at his residence. A Morgan County native, he was a member of Neel United Methodist Church and a member of Gideons International for 25 years. He started Jail Ministry for the Morgan County Penal system 20 years ago. The ministry moved to the Limestone Correctional Facility, where the chapel is named in Aldridge's honor.
He retired from Fruehauf after 25 years of service and founded and owned AAA Fiberglass Company.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Dean Aldridge of Danville; two sons, Gary Aldridge and Doyne Aldridge, both of Decatur; one daughter, Dara Dianne Carnell of Danville; three brothers, Burch Aldridge of Slidell, La., Milton Aldridge of Decatur and James Aldridge of Florence; one sister, Hilda Barnette of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Morgan County Jail trustees.
Memorials may be made to the Limestone Correctional Facility Chapel Fund at 1298 Parker Road S.E., Hartselle, AL 35640.
