Jack L. Abston, 70, of Frankfort, IN, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born on December 21, 1952 in Terre Haute, IN to Jack C. Abston and Frances (Chester) Surber. Jack married Diana Wilson on December 23, 1975. She preceded him in death in 1998. He then married Phyllis Hunter in 1999. She preceded him in death in 2008.
Jack worked for Federal Mogul in Tool and Die for over 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and hanging at the VFW.
Jack is survived by his mother; two daughters; one stepson; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Along with his wives, Jack is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Curtis Abston.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 1 to 4 PM at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, IN. Funeral service will follow at 4 PM at the funeral home on Friday. Pastor Mark Perdue will officiate.
