Mr. Buchanan died unexpectedly at his home. He was a graduate of Union College. Upon graduation, he entered employment at the Philadelphia banking firm of Brown Brothers & Co.. He married Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Sommerville in 1919. They were the parents of several children. Betty died in 1979.
