SAN BERNARDINO, June 8 - The friends of J. W. Catick, a prominent business man of this city, were astonished today to learn that he had slipped away to Los Angeles and was last night married to Miss Nora Murphy, formerly of San Bernardino and well-known. The bride is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. William Murphy. The marriage was performed at the Cathedral St. Vibiana, Los Angeles.

Nora A. Catick, former San Bernardino
Nora Agnes Catick, 97, of Newport Beach, formerly of San Bernardino, died Tuesday in a Costa Mesa hospital. She was born in New Hampshire and formerly lived in San Bernardino 30 years.
She was a homemaker, and her husband, Joseph W., who died in 1939, was mayor of San Bernardino in 1919.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Buxton of Idaho,
five grandchildren and five great-grand-children.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today in Pacific View Memorial Park, Newport Beach. Blower Brothers Mortuary, Santa Ana, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Orthopedic Hospital, 2400 S. Flower St., Los Angeles.
