Barney Grant Boe, born in Klamath Falls, OR, on November 13, 1937, to Vern and Marguerite Boe, passed away October 18, 2009 in Cathedral City, CA.
Barney graduated from Olympia High School in 1955 and St. Martin's College in 1961. He retired from the State of WA., Dept. of Licensing, as a Real Estate Investigator in 1999.
Barney enjoyed softball coaching and umpiring, golfing, boating and spending time with his family. He was a avid sports FAN. After retirement, he and Carole have lived in Cathedral City, CA.
Barney is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carole (Swanson) Boe; his daughters, Carrie (Larry) Deines, Laura (Mark) Sexton, Jodi Boe (Karly); son, Douglas (Kristi). He also leaves behind eight grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 1:00pm at Mills and Mills Funeral Home, Tumwater.
The family suggests donation be made to the Olympia High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
