Kuhles (Schwendler) Carolyn L., 78, passed away peacefully with family by her side on June 14, 2023.

Carolyn is predeceased, by her sweet older brother Norman J. Schwendler of Hamburg, NY along with her parents Norman and Ada (Reckers) Schwendler of Hamburg, NY.

Carolyn is survived by, her loving husband of 57 years (and her life partner of 74 years) Glenn Kuhles, and their son Russell C. Kuhles (Karen A. LaDuke) Carolyn and Glenn were Colonie NY residents since 1972, both originally from Hamburg, NY. Additional family includes Nephew Joseph Scwendler (Melanie) and nieces Sandra (James) Vaccaro and Nancy (Stephen) Deyo.

Carolyn and Glenn moved to Colonie as a young ambitious couple. Earlier, she worked for Marine Midland Bank (HSBC). Later, she retired from Colonie Central High School, after more than two decades of devoted and memorable service. For many years, they enjoyed avid summer camping at Eighth Lake Campground, along with other day or weekend trips including the Big E and family events. She was a fine cook, baker, crafter, and dear friend to many.

Calling hours and service will be held Thursday June 22, 2023, from 2-4pm followed by a 4:00pm service.
