Mother Burn Eva Carter was born to the late James and Sarah Jane Johnson in Cogdell, GA. She graduated from Center High School in Waycross, GA.

She later moved to Florida and in time she met and married the love of her life the late Dea. Moses Carter.

Mother Carter was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church serving on the Mother's Board, and during her time she previously served in the United American Freewill Baptist Church Association serving in various offices.

Mother Carter retired from Monaco Medical Laboratories in DeLand after working for many years, she also worked with Alliance Nursing Center and University East as a CNA.

She was preceded in death by Sisters: Mary Cooper, Sarah Johnson, Brothers: James Johnson, Jr., Robert Johnson, Willie Johnson, Warren Johnson, Gordon Johnson, George Johnson and her beloved Nephew/Son: Gordon Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted children: James Michael Carter and Terresa Carter-Watson (Derek). Extended family Rebecca Guilyard and Lillian Jones. Daughter in law: Vernita Simpson Carter. Sister: Frances McCall, Jacksonville FL, Aunt: Alice Tina Jones Callahan, FL, Sister in law's: Bertha Hezekiah and Brenda Johnson Homerville, GA, her Grandchildren: Rakisha, Jamahr, Jazmine, LJ, Nakasha, Nacoma, Taylor, Tyra, Tia, Cyrus, Tyrone, David, Aiesha, Cecilia, and Lydia. Several Great Grandchildren, 10 God children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
