Mrs. Jean Carol Blevins Atkins, age 93 passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation in Mount Airy.

Jean was proceeded in death by her husband Charles D. Atkins, her parents, George Blevins and Grace, and two brothers, Bruce Blevins and John (Jack Blevins).

Left to cherish her memories are her four sons, Dwight (Janice) of Pilot Mountain, NC, Steve (Robyn) of Punta Gorda, Florida, Mark (Barbara) of Folly Beach, South Carolina, and David (Susan) of Winston Salem; seven grandchildren, Blake (Megan), Erich, Erika, Jake, Nick, Caroline (Josh), Maliyah; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside will be held at Oakdale Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Mount Airy Museum of Regional History,301 North Main Street, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
