CHILLICOTHE - James D. Cunningham, 79, of Chillicothe, went to meet his heavenly father at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Adena Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 8, 1938, in Chillicothe to the late Donald and Marian Deininger Cunningham. On September 11, 2011 he married the former Joanna Reed who survives.
Also surviving are children, Stacey Richards, of Chillicothe, David Cunningham, of London, OH, Jimmy (Maria) Cunningham and Kimberly Hughes, both of Chillicothe; several grand and great-grandchildren; a step brother, Joe Cunningham, of Florida. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor Cunningham and a brother, Keith Cunningham.
James retired from the Mead Corp and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a 1957 graduate of Chillicothe High School and loved having breakfast with his friends at Steak and Shake. He was a member of U.P.I.U. Local 731.
There will be no funeral service or calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the WARE FUNERAL HOME.
