born April 7, 1923, in Holcomb, Mo., the
son of the late Edgar Samples and Mrs.
Oma Robertson. He married Eula
Shrewsbury and she survives. He
worked 35 years at a plant manager for
Culligan Softwater Services in Ann Arbor.
Surviving besides his wife and
mother are two sons, Larry Samples of
Ypsilanti and Claude E. Samples of
South Lyon; two sisters Syble Dye and
Shirley Massey, both of Ypsilanti; two
half-sisters, Myrtie and Opal; and a
half-brother, Clarence Samples of flint.
He was preceded in death by one brother
Odie B. Samples in September 1982.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday
at Moore Memorial Chapel with the
Rev. R. J. Pasquale of the Ypsilanti
Assembly of God officiating. Those desir-
ing may make contributions to the
American Heart Association of Michigan
or the American Diabetes Association
at Moore Memorial Chapel, where
friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday.
