REIDSVILLE Rev. Ransom Randolph Radford, 89, of Eden, went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, December 2, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Loftis officiating and burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military rites. A native of Johnston County, NC, he was a son of the late Sydney Harding and Nora Bass Radford. He had lived in Camilla, GA for 39 years before moving to Eden in 2015. Rev. Radford was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church, a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean conflict, and was an ordained minister in the Cornerstone Conference of the I.P.H.C. He was a graduate of Holmes Bible College in Greenville, SC and served as the minister at Cotton Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cotton, GA for 25 years. Rev. Radford was a prominent local businessman in Camilla, GA, where he was the owner and president of Southern Agricultural Insurance Agency and the owner and president of Mitchell County Driver Improvement Clinic. He was a published author, songwriter and recording artist. Mr. Radford was preceded in death by his parents and by his son: William Randolph "Randy" Radford and twelve siblings. Surviving is his son: Wayne Radford (Charlotte) of Reidsville, daughters: Jackie Dianne Edmondson of LaVernia, TX and Anita Radford-Black of Eden, brother: Robert Ruffin Radford (Joyce) of Chesapeake, VA, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. The family will receive friends and family from 6 till 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Citty Funeral Home 308 Lindsey St. Reidsville, NC 27320.
