Father of playwright-composer-lyricist Jonathan Larson who wrote the musicals, Rent and Tick, Tick...Boom! Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II (WWII) and was stationed on the SS Newman ship. Established the Jonathan Larson Foundation in 1997 with his wife and daughter Julie.
