Thompson Funeral Home: Charles William (aka Charlie or Bill) Bruan, Jr., 72 years of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023. He was born Jan 23, 1951 in Georgetown, Ohio, the son of the late Charles Willian and Helen (nee Sentney) Bruan, Sr. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Landon Crabtree, who died on the same day in an ATV accident. He served his country in the US Army in Korea during the Viet Nam War. After serving his country, he worked at General Motors in Norwood for several years. He became a truck driver and drove for several carriers and retired from R. & L. Carriers. As well as being a lifelong farmer. He is survived by his wife, Tammy S. (nee Thompson) Bruan; son, Michael (Genia) Bruan of Felicity, Ohio; daughter, Katie (Tim) Prewitt of Winchester, Ohio; step- son, Richie Watson of Greenfield, Ohio; two step- daughters, Rachel Crabtree of Greenfield, Ohio and Cheryl Sammons of South Charleston, Ohio; grandchildren, Carly (Nate) Lang, Lane Bruan, Grace Prewitt, T.J. Prewitt, Hannah Crabtree, Kaylee Metz, Layton Summons, Erin Sammons; three brothers, Bob (Catherine) Bruan, Ronnie (Barb)Bruan, Roger (Annette) Bruan; five sisters, Sunny (Tony) Evans, Lisa (Mike) Clarkson, Jennifer Freeman, Shari (Greg) Tracy, Sue Graham; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Funeral services at Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church. Dr. Rev. Dan Lamb will officiate with burial in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Belfast. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
