James Clifford Rahrer, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was born on October 3, 1927 to the late William and Bertha Rahrer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. On September 3, 1948 he married Virginia Niswonger, with whom he was looking forward to celebrating 75 years of marriage in September. James worked at Tohkeim in various capacities for 50 years prior to his retirement. James is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons, Greg (Betty), Mark (Kathy), Brian (Mimi); grandchildren, Brittany (Nick) Goodwin, Brett Rahrer, Rebecca (Ryan) St. Wrba, Kaitlyn (Ryan) Hessler, James Rahrer; great-grandchildren, Crew and Cade Goodwin, and Ryder and Kollins Hessler. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; and sisters, Marguerite Guy and Phyllis Matthews. A private celebration of James's life will take place at a later date.
