Yancey County, North Carolina, estate book that covers 1870-1904. It is on page 27. It reads: “J. G. Thomas & John Thomas admins to Aaron Thomas Decd. Bond filed March 16 1874 for $400.00 C. F. Young & S. B. Briggs Sec.” This established that Aaron Thomas died between 1870 and 1874 rather than in 1883 as on his modern tombstone. By Jason Edwards
