She had long been in failing health and had experienced two shocks, the latter of which had rendered her nearly helpless. Mr. Jeffrey, who was ninety years old last Monday, had taken the entire care of his wife and assumed complete responsibility of the home.
Mrs. Jeffrey came from a distinguished family and possessed many of its characteristic traits. A fine representative of the New England type of woman; she was best known outside the family circle by her church associates and neighbors, who extol her many virtues in emphatic language.
