Mr. Danny H. "Skin" Claxton, age 56, of Uvalda, died Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his home following an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Uvalda and was a 1984 graduate of Toombs Central School. He worked most of his life as a transmission lineman, working primarily across the southern U.S. He attended the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church, and he enjoyed being outside, sitting by a fire in the summertime, vacations, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mark Edwin Claxton and Agnes Virginia Williams Claxton; and a brother, Ricky Claxton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
The funeral service will be Wednesday morning, June 28th, at 11:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey and Pastor Joe Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Uvalda City Cemetery.
