A life resident of Akron, Charlie was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Forces, and retired from Firestone after 40 years service as an inspector. ''Charlie Brown' was a member of American Legion Post #449, and VFW Post #3383.
Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mildred Wilhelm Spitznas; his Partner-in-Life, Virginia Lauro; son-in-law, Mathew Addy; he is survived by sons, Dennis (Barb Wade) of Goodyear Hts., Daniel (Nancy) of Green, David (Ruth) of Texas; daughters, Deborah (Don) Cooke of Ellet, De Anna (Paul) Ake and Doreen Addy, both of Canal Fulton; 13 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Schlup-Pucak Funeral Home, 788 Kenmore Blvd., where funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010, with Rev. Donard Engle officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park where American Legion Post #449 will render military honors.
