Verna G. DeHaven, 98, of Willow Street, formerly of Malvern died Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in the Glen of Willow Valley Retirement Community following an illness.

She was born in Honey Brook Township, Chester County on Monday, October 06, 1924 the daughter of the late James Frank, Sr. and Emma Mae (Hoffman) Glauner.

Verna was an Office Manager for seventeen years at Deluxe Check Printers.

She was a member of Coventry Presbyterian Church, Frazer.

Verna enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, needlepoint, ceramics, and gardening.

She loved to knit baby sets for the preemies at Lancaster General Hospital and hats, gloves, and scarfs for the Native American Community.

In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her husband: Norman Wayne DeHaven, Sr. on October 12, 2006; her sister: Dorothy G. DeHaven; and, her brother: James F. Glauner, Jr.

She is survived by her sons: N. Wayne DeHaven, Jr. of West Chester and Randy D. DeHaven of Malvern; her three grandchildren; and, her four great-grandchildren.

Private Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 05, 2023 at 12:30 PM with Pastor Dan Hall officiating.
