Amos Currier Sr. who died yesterday will be given a Military Funeral tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. at the Newton Funeral Home. The Rev. Maurice H. Porter will conduct funeral services.
Born in Maidstone,Vermont on March 29, 1891, the son of Alfred and Louisa (Masters) Currier, he came to Newport
eleven years ago from Newbury. His occupation was lumbering.
He married Bernice Woodward, who survives him, November
20, 1920.
Mr Currier is also survived by their children:
Raymond,Stanley, Kenneth,Amos Jr., Howard and Mrs Carolyn Gonyea, Mrs. Marjorie Hurd; his brothers, Lewis, Hosea, and Nathan,and one sister, Mrs. Elvira Allen, and eight grandchildren.
note: he was also predeceased by a daughter, Ruth, who was born and died in Newbury,NH in 1939.
