In 1996, Suzanne married Ed Kraus. They built a home in Amissville, Virginia and lived there until 2021, when the decision was made to move to Savannah to be closer to family. Suzy had a multi-faceted career spanning many different roles to include a past Chairman of the NACM Atlantic; Director of Credit and Collections and Director of Customer Service, to name a few. Recently, she engaged in Business Consulting and Life Coaching for various companies. Suzanne was a wonderful storyteller and, when not sharing stories, could be found crocheting or crafting beautiful items to share with friends and family - she loved giving handmade gifts from the heart.
She was a very proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and spent many hours doing genealogic research. She was an active member of the Port Wentworth Global Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Kraus, Mother-in-Law Shirley Kraus (the late Edward M. Kraus), her Sisters-in-law Kathy Frascella and Maureen Athoe, her Brothers-in-Law William Kraus, Richard Kraus and David Kraus; her Aunt Shirley Woods, First Cousins Reta Woods, Sally Woods Rogers and J. Woods, and several other cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, her "Girl Gang", and the many friends from Virginia to her new friends and family of the Port Wentworth Global Methodist Church.
Suzy's Celebration of Life will be held August 4, 2023 at 11am, at the Port Wentworth Global Methodist Church, 201 Turnberry Street, Port Wentworth, GA 31407. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Port Wentworth Global Methodist Church.
