A graduate of Loyola University Chicago, George and his partner, Bernie Trueblood, ran a successful marketing agency in this area for many years. He enjoyed golfing with friends (and a good cigar), coaching youth sports, Sunday family dinners and being called Pa by his cherished grandchildren, Nico and Gracie.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Ann, son George III "Bly" (Angela Gomez Medina Blystone), daughter Brynn Lee, grandchildren George Nicholas (GB-IV), and Grace Elizabeth, as well as his sister Nancy Bokelmann Stetter, his aunt Micki (Harstad) Fogarty, his in-laws, including father-in-law Roger Bumgarner, and many adored cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Carver House in Norwalk, or a children's charity of one's choice. A Celebration of George's Life is being held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Norwalk CT on Saturday, October 15th at 12:15, with a reception following.
