Mrs. James was homemaker for most of her life and took pride in being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

She read her bible daily, prayed for everyone continuously, and always was willing to give and help anyway she could. She loved every minute shared with her family and was always happiest surrounded by them. Mrs. James made her life count and her legacy will be that of a great friend, wonderful mother and grandmother, and a true christian lady.

Those left to share memories include one daughter, Debbie Rutherford (Terry), one son, William Ray James (Orpha Mae), two sisters, Barbara Cameron and Linda Crum, one brother, Don Barnes (Kathy), eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Patterson, one sister, Clara Willis, one brother, Jimmy Barnes, and two grandchildren, Nick Patterson and Christina Dye.
