MRS. JOHN KARAFF FUNERAL RITES WERE MONDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. John Karaff were Monday afternoon at the Miller-Tillotson Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Miller-Tillotson.
Mabel Beatrice Karaff, daughter of Louis and Ida Belle Hayes, was born June 5, 1904 in Marceline. She died May 10 at St. Joseph Hospital in Boonville.
Surviving are her husband, John; her mother, Mrs. Ida Belle Hayes of Marceline; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Eastin, also of Marceline; one son, Dean Wiseman of Freeman, Missouri; three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Ruth Helton, Mrs. Gertrude Eads, Mrs. Thelma Sportsman and L.J. Hayes, all of Marceline, Alonzo Hayes of Brookfield, and Lester Hayes of Kansas City. Also surviving are six grandchildren.
Mrs. Karaff was preceded in death by her father and a son who was killed in WWII.
She was a member of the Christian church.
