Harold Tackelson, 68, of 1232 Peoria Rd., died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Hospital. Surviving are the wife, Nellie m., one step-son, Louis Vincent of Springfield; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Scheley of Lincoln; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild. He was born in Greenview, the son of Tack and Margaret Tackelson and resided in Springfield most of his life.
A former coal miner, for the past 10 years he was weighmaster at the Springfield stockyards.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Staab Funeral Home, Rev. Charles Hendricks officiating, with burial n [sic] Camp Butler National Cemetery.
