Ernest E. Fraser, 84, a resident of 403 Sixth Avenue and merchant and livestock dealer, died early this morning at the Bel-Air Manor Nursing Home following an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Rev. Burns P. Drake, minister of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, is to officiate. Burial will be in the Santa Fe Cemetery.

A native of Maury County he was the son of the late Doc and Lavena Harkey Fraser. He had lived in the Athendale community for many years before moving to Columbia 18 years ago. He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Ella Murphy Fraser of Columbia; a son, Murphy Fraser of Columbia; a brother Loyd C. Fraser of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Priest, D.O. Priest, Sidney Willis, J.W. Harris, Walter Timmons, Clarence Hood, C.W. Yarbrough, and L.A. Johns.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Raymond Due, Monte Hughes Knight, Jerry Marshall, David Vick, Boyd Dean, Robert Wall, Charles Skillington, and Homer Vestal.
