Freeda Virginia Brown, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown, passed on to the Heavenly home March 29, 1922.

She opened her beautiful brown eyes to the light of this world March 26, 1922; just three days she was in the home when Jesus stooped to pluck this beautiful lily bud to carry it to His bosom before the sunlight of this world had blown it into its full beauty.

Weep not, dear parents, for Jesus said, "Suffer little children to come unto me; and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."

How close to Heaven it draws us when by the eye of faith we can see that little angel among that happy throng, knowing she is our own angel darling. Her beautiful eyes are as bright as the stars while she looks for the time mother and father shall join her there.

The earthly hopes of these young parents were torn down almost as soon as they were set up. We can only say, look to Jesus and realize He is the same Jesus who slept in the tomb. It was a sad day for His mother and friends without hope, but through His resurrection we know our loved ones are not dead but "Asleep in Jesus."
"Somewhere the load is lifted,
Close by an open gate;
Somewhere the clouds are rifted,
Somewhere the angels wait."

Besides the parents, this little one leaves the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Brown and Rev. and Mrs. W. T. Watson, and a host of other relatives to mourn their loss.

The funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. H. B. Tillery, of Houston, and the body laid to rest in Central Baptist Cemetery.
