Obituary for Dorothy Ethridge
April 27, 1930 - July 1, 2023

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Pyburn Ethridge, age 93, of Nashville, TN passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023. She was born in Nashville to the late James Donald Pyburn, Sr. and Ernestine Goad Pyburn. Mrs. Ethridge had a passion for giving especially to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to serve others by volunteering in the church's clothes closet. Mrs. Ethridge loved Friday night dances at the Senior Citizen's Center, animals, Florida beaches, shopping, and just being outside in the sunshine. Her smile and humor will be missed by the family and friends who love her.

Mrs. Ethridge is survived by her nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Lewis Ethridge; brothers, J.D. Pyburn, Jr.; parents-in-law, Edward and Lillie Ethridge; and brothers and sisters-in-law.

For those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Mrs. Ethridge.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff and Richland Place for their care of Mrs. Ethridge during her stay.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00am at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
