Whitney Kay Armstrong, age 60, of Seminole, passed away at her home, surrounded by loving family, on July 18, 2022. She was born and raised in Ohio, before moving to Massachusetts in the late 1970's to join her husband in his hometown. Whitney started a family and enjoyed life as a homemaker.

Whitney moved to Florida in the early 1980's to be near her family. She enjoyed flipping houses and was part of a renovation on Dan May Island of which she was especially proud. Whitney continued her life as a homemaker for her longterm partner, Joe Hipps,who passed away on July 14, 2021.

Whitney was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Dockery of Ohio; her longtime partner Joe Hipps, her daughter Amanda Dockery of Sarasota; her sisters Nedra Turner of Fort Lauderdale and Barbara Conley of Ohio; and her brother Glenn Dockery of Sarasota.

Whitney died 1 year and 4 days after Joe Hipps, her partner.

Whitney is survived by her children, Robert Gaudet of Texas, Jason Gaudet of Georgia, Edward Armstrong of Orlando, Elizabeth Armstrong of Seminole, Michael Armstrong of Hollywood, FL, Lorelei Armstrong of Ohio, and Stephanie Armstrong of Georgia; her mother Lila Gallagher, her brothers and sisters, and several grandchildren.

The family plans to celebrate Whitney's life privately at a later date.
