Orwin Sperry Cook married Theodora "Dora" Helen Farrell, December 8, 1874 in New York. From New York they moved with their children to Nebraska around 1878 - 1879. From Nebraska, around 1899 they picked up and moved to Mineral Point, Wisconsin, where Orwin was an engineer for the Zinc Company.

By 1905, Orwin was living in Wichita Falls, Texas. He returned to Wisconsin by 1927. At the home of his son in Cuba City, Wisconsin he passed away at the age of 78. After over 30 years, Orwin was brought back to Mineral Point, Wisconsin, to join his wife Dora, and daughter Etta, at Graceland Cemetery. Orwin's obituary list 2 daughters and 6 sons survived him.
My research with the Cook family is not a family connection. I enjoy learning about families from the town I live in, Mineral Point, Wisconsin, reuniting them and keeping their stories alive on Find A Grave. If you see information that I have pieced together here as not being accurate, please let me know. Lois Thor Herbst
