After several years illness, Mrs. James Whitton died last night (Mar 2, 1948). Born in Fowler, she was the former Cora Adell Heath, daughter of Guy Carlton and Electa ALlen Heath. In September 1884, she married James Ralph Whitton.

Surviving, besides her husband are five sons, David, Carlton and Claude, all of Morley; James and Darius, of New York City; three daughter, Violet, at home; Mrs. James Walker, Mechanicville; Mrs. William Shutler, of Shelton, Wash.; 36 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm at the home of her son, David Whitton with Rev. Arthur Northrup, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Morley Cemetery.
