William "Bill" Thomas Finch, 69, of Deer Park died suddenly Friday, May 4, 2018, at the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
A native Garrett countian, Bill was born in Altamont on Aug. 4, 1948. He was the son of the late William Alfonce and Kathleen Elizabeth (Costello) Finch.

Bill was a graduate of Southern High School, Class of 1967. After high school, Bill worked for Garrett County Road Department and then retired after working for nine years for Alpine Mining, working on the belt line. He was also the owner of Finch's Used Cars and Auto Sales and manager of Shorty's Bar for more than forty years. He was a member of Oakland Elks Lodge, Deer Park Sportsman Club, and Pennsylvania Game Breeders Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and really enjoyed socializing with people.

Surviving is his companion for more than 31 years, E. Jayne Thomas, of Deer Park; his son, Patrick Thomas and wife, Rhonda Jean, of Deer Park; and grandson, Thomas Patrick Finch. Also surviving are brother, James "Jim" Alfonce Finch and girlfriend, Linda; Robert "Bob" Lee Finch and wife, Debbie Finch; sister, Betty Jo and husband, Robert Brown. He was predeceased by his former wife, Janet Christine Wood Bach, and brother, Franklin George Finch, and his sister-in-law, Rosalee Finch.

Interment will be in Deer Park Cemetery.
