Robert "Pat" Lloyd O'Bryan, Jr., of Midland, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007.
He was born September 14, 1915 in Houston, Texas to Robert Lloyd O'Bryan and Florentine Kubbos.
Pat married Margaret "Maggie" Elliott on December 20, 1948 in Midland, Texas. After high school graduation, he was employed with Humble Oil Company from 1936 to 1942. Pat joined the Army Air Force on September 30, 1942 and was honorably discharged on December 7, 1945. Prior to his retirement in 1985, Pat had been employed with Halliburton for 37 years. He was an active member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church as well as the Petroleum Club, Masons and the Shriner Club of Midland. After retirement, Pat spent his time volunteering for Hospice of Midland, Allison Cancer Center and Holy Trinity Church. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Margaret "Maggie" O'Bryan.
Pat is survived by his nieces, Margaret Ann Ricks and her husband Kenneth, of Eagle Pass, Texas and Teresa Dryer, of Keller, Texas and nephew, Danny Brown and his wife Connie, of San Angelo, Texas.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home Thursday, January 3, 2008 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Graveside services have been scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 4, 2008 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospice of Midland, 911 W. Texas, Midland, Texas 79701.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
