BARES SECRET MARRIAGE
Shenandoah, Iowa --- The secret marriage of Miles McGlone, mayor of Shenandoah, to Ethel Nelson of Omaha in September 1930 was disclosed Saturday here with their two month old baby. McGone had married twice before.

Secret Marriage Revealed
Former Mayor McGlone from Shenandoah, Iowa returns with Wife and Baby.
A secret marriage more than a year ago of Miles J. McGlone, former mayor of Shenandoah, Iowa and Mrs. Ethel Nelson, formerly Miss Ethel Townsend of Omaha, was revealed upon their arrival in Shenandoah a few days ago with a 2-month-old baby girl.
After their marriage in September 1930, Ethel McGlone lived with her family at 3708 North Nineteenth street, until a month ago when they moved to 22 Wirt Street. Mr. McGlone visited weekly.
Both gave their ages as "over 21." Miles J. McGlone has five children, which two have passed. Mrs. Mcglone has a 10-year-old son from a prior marriage, which that spouse has passed in 1923.
Mrs. McGlone remained with her father because her mother died shortly after the marriage and her father, Harry Townsend, himself was ill.
Mr. McGlone met Mrs. Nelson, he said, two and a half years ago at the home of a mutual friend.
The McGlone's will live in Shenandoah, where the former mayor and his twin brother have conducted a cigar store for many years, Sine 1911, Mr. McGlone has served as mayor at intervals for 10 years. Friends say he is more than 50.
The baby, Patricia, will have her baptism today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shenandoah.

Private services 11 am Saturday at Roeder Mortuary.
Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery.
