Charles E. (Pete) Blystone Jr., 49, 16th Street, North Apollo, PA, died yesterday at the Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, where he had been admitted following an automobile accident the previous week. Born in North Apollo on May 10, 1917, he was a son of Charles E. and Bessie Rumbaugh Blystone. A member of the Apollo First Methodist Church, he was sponsor and manager of the Apollo Merchants Baseball team, a foreman in the machine shop of the Wooding Tool and Die Shop, Oakmont, and a noted pigeon breeder. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Nelson Blystone; his father; Charles E. Blystone Sr., four daughters, Virginia E., Margaret Jane, Kimberly Sue and Lori Lynn Blystone, all at home; a son, Charles A. Blystone, United States Navy; three brothers, Eugene R., Russell B. and Sherman B. Blystone, all of North Apollo; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Smoyer, North Apollo. Burial was in Riverview cemetery.
