J.P. Ballard, Zebulon.
Zebulon, Ga., August 23. - (Special.) - J.P. Ballard, and aged veteran, living near Zebulon, died yesterday of paralysis. He was stricken on Sunday last. He was a member of company H, Forty-fourth Georgia regiment, and was generally known throughout the regiment as a gallant soldier. A few years after the war he lost the sight of both eyes by an accident. Funeral and interment took place at Williamson today.
