Barbara V. Oresko
February 2, 1934 ~ July 2, 2023 (age 89)

Barbara V. Oresko, age 89, passed away peacefully July 2, 2023, at U. H. Geauga Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio. She was born February 2, 1934, in Windber, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Elizabeth (Bakos) Oresko.
Barbara was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Her administrative and office skills were valued by many companies such as The Glidden Company, Lake County Nursery Exchange, Weirton Steel, and the Lake County, Ohio Auditor's Office.

Barbara was known and admired for her immaculate personal appearance and that of her home too. Her favorite past time was shopping. She diligently searched for just the right gifts or cards for every occasion. Gifts were painstakingly and expertly wrapped. Family meant the world to her and she rarely, if ever, missed any family occasions, be it a birthday, wedding, graduation, first communion or confirmation, that she was invited to. She was a beloved baker, in particular, she made the best spritz Christmas cookies, Swedish nuts and the holidays were not complete without her orange jello salad.

Family and friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 312 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 7th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 316 5th Street, Fairport Harbor. Burial at Perry Cemetery will be at a later date.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Mary "Muncie" Gable and her brother, Joseph (Patti) Oresko plus three generations of nieces and nephews, all of whom consider her the best sister and aunt that anyone could have ever had.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Lauer, Helen Tokarsky, Anna Gaio, and Margaret Zampini; and brother, Stephen "Pishta" Oresko.
