Funeral for Mrs. Ruby McDaniel Riley, 70, Hillsboro 2, who died Friday in a Decatur hospital, will be at 2 PM today at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Jack Freeman and Charles Smith officiating, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery, Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, Cameron V. Riley, Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Rena Smith, Decatur; a stepson, Lavon Riley, Chattanooga, Tennessee; two grandsons, Tennis and Stanley Smith; three step grandsons, Vaughn, Alvin and Linda Riley; her mother, Mrs. Lela McDaniel, Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Bass, Hillsboro; a brother, Lonnie McDaniel, Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Smith, Tennis Smith, Phil McDaniel, Robert McDaniel, Vaughn Riley and Alvin Riley.

Ruby was originally buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur, with a shared marker with her husband. After her husband remarried, he was buried years later next to his second wife. In the 2010s, Ruby was moved to Friendship Cemetery in Danville, where she is buried next to her daughter and near to her parents and other family members.
