ღ♥ღ My Big Brother ღ♥ღ

My only sibling of my mother and father both, also nearest me in age. Make no mistake I love them all, but it was John Henry who loved me back, unconditionally for who I am...

~ Son of Thelma Norean Sides Benton and Walter Thomas Benton, Walker County, Alabama, my parents.

Husband of the late Lola Louise Clark Benton of North Carolina 1927-1984.

John was married twice, but never had children. I dearly loved both his wives.

He died of lung cancer, sadly, after decades of smoking.

I love you very much, John. I miss you all the time. All the time. I named my son for you, and my Rhysa named her son for her brother, just as her Mama had before her. My Mama named you for the John Henrys in her family.

We had a wonderful Mama...a sweet, Godly woman who lived it each day and taught us. You used to stand between Mama and me when she was upset at something impish I'd done, keeping me behind you till she lost it in laughter and forgave me..you could always reach her soft spot - and her funnybone :). Big hugs till we meet, Beloved brother mine.
