Evelyn (Eva) Riddle Slagle – age 88, of Mascot passed away at home on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church and retired from The Department of Human Services to care for her Grandchildren. She always poured love into her family and friends. Her most precious gift was her beautiful voice. She loved singing.
She was preceded in death by Husband of 54 years Edward H. Slagle; parents, Ernest Bryan (Buck) Riddle and Alice Nancy Taylor Riddle; Brothers, Raymond Riddle, Carson Riddle, Norman Riddle, Charles G. Riddle and Sister, Lucy Cooling.
She is survived by Daughters, Nancy (Rusty) Williams of Claremont, NC and Lisa (Michael) Nally, of Greencastle, IN; Grandchildren, Taylor (Jared) Watkins, Wright Williams, Tommy D. (Shayla) Presley, Anna (Robbie) Beard, Robert (Savannah) Nally, Amillia (Chase) Campbell, Brooklynn Nally; Great Grandchildren, Easton, Lucas A, Lucas E., Hudson, and Raylan. Several Nieces and Nephews and neighborhood friends that the family want to thank for all the love and care they offered.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 11, from 5:00-7:00PM and will meet at 9:45 am on July 12 at Roseberry Cemetery for a 10:00 AM graveside service with Pastor Hartsell McCurry and Dr. Allen England officiating.
