A Conley Tilley, son of B F Tilley, of Egeria, was almost instantly killed in the mine at Stotesbury at 3 am last Tuesday as a result of coming in contact with a live wire.
It appears that Tilley, who was about 20 years of age, was coupling a trip of bank cars and as he arose from his work struck a trolley wire, which carried a full voltage of electricity. He lived only a few minutes after the occurrence.
His body was prepared for burial by undertakers Rose & Turner and taken to Egeria, where it was interred Wednesday. The deceased leaves a father and several brothers and sisters.
