Cynthia was a loving mother and grandmother and worked as an executive administrator for Tenneco for 20 years. After her retirement from Tenneco, she worked several more years owning her own small business. Cynthia was an avid volunteer giving her time to organizations such as the Red Cross during the many hurricanes in Houston, serving snacks at the mentally handicapped facility to her son's Cub Scout troop and active in PTA. Additionally, Cynthia was a lifetime member of Bellaire Presbyterian Church in Bellaire, Texas.
Preceded in death by her mother Rachel Heartwell and father Harold Heartwell, she is survived by her son, Todd Bisang (Jennifer) of Austin, Texas; brothers James Heartwell (Janet) of Kingsland, Texas, and Dr. Stephen Heartwell (Paulette) of Dripping Springs, Texas; and grandchildren Madison Bisang & Max Bisang of Austin, Texas. In addition to numerous nieces and nephews and childhood and work friends.
A fighter and survivor of many challenges throughout her life, she lived independently in Austin for the past four years to be closer to her family after 50 years in Houston. Cynthia was passionate about her pets, cooking, shopping, and loved a good TV series or crime mystery novel. Cynthia was able to enjoy the fruits of her labor in sharing the achievements of her son and grandchildren.
A memorial celebration of Cynthia's life will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church on Friday September 24, 2020 with immediate family.
As all of you know, she loved animals and she rescued many cats and dogs throughout her lifetime.
